Outside the Box Thinking/Imagination

Image
Week of May 17th Theme of the week- Outside the box thinking of Erin. We lost TV remote and we coud not off the TV. We had to go out and we did not want to leave the TV on. She immediately told me she had an idea. I asked her what it was and she told me to play something from youtube from my computer, and then pause it. I think that is very brilliant. So, as a mother, to see what she can do given the responsibility, I always ask her first. I like to know what her little brain can storm and analyze the situation and come up with the best answer. She stole the show here. She's my extra brain. For the most part, this week, was her school, martial art class, spending time with family, celebrating Birthdays and Graduation. She also did a lot of art. One of them was she drew a sandwich and wrote "Erin to Baba". It was touching. Overall, the week was a fun and busy for Erin. Some of the pictures and videos of the week are below.

Thoughtfulness & outside the box thinking

Late post: Week of 10th May: On Sunday, 16th May, we invited our family for dinner in our place. I was busy in the kitchen rushing to feed around 20 ppl at a time. According to my sister in-law, her baby girl slept in the lap. My little girl, Erin, offered her the bed and she told she could use the blanket but she had to make sure to fold it back after the baby wakes. So, her Aunt said(teasing her), Oh! If I have to fold it back, I don't want to put her to bed.I am too tired to do all that. Erin said, my mom did a lot of hard work to clean and fold. If you can't do it by yourself with baby, you can put the baby in my lap while you fold the blanket. I think she's very thoughtful of baby needing to sleep by offering the bed, yet being thoughtful of mom's work and teaching discipline. And very creative and responsible for offering her lap as an option. As 5 year old only child, offering her lap to a baby sister/cousin and helping Aunt do her job was an outside the box th...

Culture of Appreciation!

This past week was all about Teachers' and mother's appreciation. Today is Mother's Day. Erin did not get much outdoors with weather fluctuating from rainy and cold. One of those days, Erin had a trampoline fun with other kids in the family. Erin did have some opportunity for indoor fun with family and cousins. We celebrated mother's day with momo dinner(Erin's one of fav meals) at my parents- with all the extended family. Past week, Erin did quite a lot of drawing, some by watching youtube and some others on her own. The most beautiful of all was, she drew picture of a mother holding a baby for mother's day gift for me. My happiness found no bound. When I reminded her about Teacher's week, she wrote a card for her teacher and we sent her via email. Her teacher wrote me back-"it is SO adorable! I am going to print it out and keep it 😊 Thank you!". I love my baby to the moon and back! She makes me proud everyday with her wonderful surprises. Here a...

Fun in the park

Today was a perfect day to be outside. Sunday, and great weather ranging from 70-80 degrees, could not wish for a better day. We went to the Watersworks park Link Here in Cuyahoga Falls, which is located in our own town, just about 15 minutes away from home. It was a huge family gathering and picnic. We played volleyball, Bubbles, swings and slides and a lot more. The funnest part was the cake and cotton candy treat at the end. I wish to have more fun like this in near future. I am so happy today. Dictated by mother(Nandy). Below is the short videos of Erin and some picture collection from the day.

Erin's Diary

Today is May 1, 2021. I am creating this blog as a platform for my love Erin Subedi to explore the world of Technology. Covid19 has impacted social life of specially younger kids limiting them to explore the real world of recreation and creativity. This is to show her that there are ways we can stay in touch with our creativity, social life by beating this cruel germ(Coronavirus). It is very sad to learn how kids have learned to compromise their public gathering like celebrating their birthdays in Cowabunga's , Crazy kids , Fun City etc. Masking to school all day is very not normal and heart breaking. There is nothing more painful to watch than the beauty and innocent smile of our little kids hidden in the mask- Kids smiles and innocent beauty are the only thing that keeps the world going, boost energy of tired parents at the end of the day, give positive hope that the world has not crashed on us. So, to save this beauty, unmask and show the bondless cherish and beauty, innocence, ...
